Shadowing an episode of NCIS: New Orleans, I ran into one of my favorite people on earth… the uber talented Jessica Tuck.
Election Night had a tremendous screening in Durham. Tons of friends and funders came out afterwards for beers and barbecue!
Cannes is fun!!!
The first night I arrive, Producer Grace Santos grabbed me for a party. I’m hiding the jetlag under my hair.
Co-producer Stasia Droze, Cinematographer Jim Jost and I found a fantastic apartment away from the fray.
We scored black tie Grand Palais tickets to see Joachim Trier’s Louder Than Bombs. Here we are in our finery!
Great week! I spoke on a panel about women in film at the Minneapolis St. Paul Film Festival. Honored to be among the very cool women there. And MSP is a terrific town! My nephew and his girlfriend showed me the sites! Including a stop at Glam Doll Donuts.

Tonight, I had the great honor of presenting the Movement Builder Award to the extraordinary Eve Ensler at A New Way of Life Gala. Susan Burton – the founder of ANWL and the subject of my documentary Susan – is a true hero. I am inspired by her diligence and flagging commitment to end the plague of mass incarceration in America.
Woohoo!!!! Leave Keys in Car is in competition at the Bahamas International Film Festival.
